If your medical emergency includes 10 out of 10 pain DO NOT COME HERE. This facility does not triage as a medical emergency whatsoever. I came in crying, panting, hyperventilating, sweating, and begging god to take away the pain I was experiencing and the moment I walked through the door with these symptoms there was absolutely no sense of urgency from the receptionist. I couldn’t tell you how long before they finally took me back, but it felt like an eternity. Once they finally took me back I was accompanied by Lena who also had no sense of urgency, but what made it worse was the lack of compassion and empathy. She was flipping through the pages of my intake paper work with a disgruntled look on her face and asked me “if I had even checked in with the front desk” because the pages were mostly empty, I was In so much pain I could not comprehend the form or read through the pages I was signing, which is why they were mostly empty at this point. While I am hunched over crying in pain, she grabs the paperwork with an annoyed look on her face and tells me she needs to go speak with her front desk because all of these pages should have been completed before I came back! In the meantime, a doctor finally comes in just as annoyed and I told him the level of care I was receiving was not being treated as an emergency and he basically stated they were following protocol. I could not believe what I was experiencing at this point and realized I was at the wrong facility because I was not being cared for in an emergent manner. I walked out the front door to call 911 so they could take me to an actual emergency room, but they were not able to send anyone since I was “already in an emergency room parking lot”. So, I had to go back in and endure this treatment. Lena (the nurse or MA) should have her license taken away and removed from ever working with patients again, the doctor eventually had to bring me the medicine because he was “tired of waiting” (he also mentioned people complain about her often) Lena should have already administered the medicine I was waiting for. Dr. Marshall thought she had already administered the medication and asked me “how it was working” and when I told him I hadn’t received any medication yet he said “WHAT!?”… I will be contacting the board of directors to further discuss. What a terrible experience. :(
